COMMUNITY MIDWIVES
Antenatal clinics are held in the surgery on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons, by appointment only. For details of the evening classes for expectant parents run by the midwives, please ask your midwife or telephone the Friarage Hospital on (01609) 779911.
DISTRICT NURSES
A team of district nurses provides home nursing care where necessary and maintain a constant liaison with the doctors. They can be contacted on (01845) 524101.
HEALTH VISITOR
The health visitor can be contacted on (01845) 521670. Her duties include participation in the Child Health Clinic and Community Clinics and giving advice on children’s health at your home when necessary.
COMMUNITY MENTAL HEALTH TEAM
The community mental health nurse holds weekly clinics in the Health Centre on a Monday. Patients are seen by appointment only, following initial referral from a doctor.
